I’ve known Aisha for years so when I found out I was pregnant it was a no brainer that I wanted her to be our doula. Having your first child is a time of love, joy, heightened emotion and uncertainty. Aisha brings a kind of calm when it is needed the most. She is kind, informed and most of all passionate about her work. She is a great mom-which to me is important when dealing with someone who will be essential in your birthing process. She is knowledgeable and always available for even the most mundane of questions. What was most memorable about working with her during my delivery was that she made me feel empowered and able to have a natural birth. Every pregnancy is different and as a second time mom I wasn't sure if we were going to have a doula. But looking back my husband and I are so glad we did. This pregnancy I experienced some minor complications, but Aisha made herself available and approachable for our questions and we always left feeling calm and reassured. My husband was most impressed during labor. At one point things progressed so quickly that the nurses and Doctor were quite frazzled but Aisha wasn't phased. She gave me comfort and focus needed for the final push. Her service didn't end with the labor. She provided placenta encapsulation, delivered it to my house and checked in a few times to see how we were doing. Aisha's doula services were invaluable and I cannot recommend her enough!

“For the first time fathers out there: If you think you are going to be sitting back, watching the show while telling your wife to “breathe” you have an awakening coming. Being there for a birthing mother is a very active process if you want to do it properly and you will be exhausted just when it’s time to take care of a newborn baby so that can mom can recover from, you know, creating miracles.
